Tri-State General offers comprehensive Storage Tank Insurance coverage solutions for above and below ground tanks, including corrective action (cleanup) costs and third party liability coverage.
We have two coverage options available:
Broad Form Coverage - Coverage trigger is “Release” of petroleum product. We will investigate suspected release.
Basic Form Coverage - Coverage trigger is “Confirmed Release” of petroleum product. Insured must identify source of release. We cover investigative costs if release is “confirmed”.
Storage Tank Limits, Deductibles and Coverage Features:
• Limits up to $1,000,000 Each Claim/$2,000,000 Agg. Policy Limit
• Defense costs are outside the policy limits
• Policy includes approved certificates to satisfy state requirements
• Deductibles starting as low as $1,000
Optional Coverages:
• Storage Tank Repair and Replacement Coverage - Covers necessary costs to repair or replace underground tanks as a result of a covered release.
o Limits: $25,000 with $2,500 deductible or $50,000 with $5,000 deductible .
• Business Interruption and Extra Expense - Covers Business Interruption and Extra Expense loss resulting from a covered release.
o Limits: $25,000 with $2,500 deductible or $50,000 with $5,000 deductible
