Why Securian Dental?

We've combined the strengths and resources of Securian Life and DeCare Dental Health International, LLC to create Securian Dental, an affordable, easy-to-understand dental program for small groups of two employees to large groups.

Securian Dental offers a variety of voluntary and employer-paid indemnity and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) dental plans. Our indemnity plan is a traditional fee-for-service plan with complete freedom to use any dentist in America. Subscribers to the PPO plan in Securian Dental states (excluding Maine) have access to DenteMax—one of America's leading dental networks. PPO plan subscribers in Maine have access to the Encompass Maine Network.

DenteMax has one of the largest dentist networks in the country, with more than 119,000 dentist access points.

Encompass
The DeCare Dental Encompass Maine Network, administered by DeCare Dental Networks, LLC., services Securian Dental members in Maine. The network is the second largest preferred provider organization in Maine.

For Securian Dental members under your care:

•Patients should present their Securian Dental ID card. If you have concerns about eligibility, please call Securian Dental’s Customer Service at 1-800-234-9009.
•Claims for groups in ME, VT and NH should be mailed to Securian Dental Plans, P.O. Box 192, Minneapolis, MN 55440-0192.  For information on sending electronic claims, contact Customer Service at 1-800-234-9009.

•Claims Inquiry tool - view claim status, patient’s detailed claims information including date of service, procedure detail, deductible and amounts paid by Securian Dental.
•Benefits Inquiry tool - view a patient's benefit level details, deductibles, annual maximums and benefits used.
•Coverage Summary (eligibility inquiry) application - verify coverage effective dates for patients and dependents, and plan information.
•Online Claim Form - allows dental offices that do not have access to submit claims electronically through a clearinghouse and have small claim submission volumes to enter and submit claims through this Web site. This solution is not a replacement for large claim volume submissions.
