Monarch Partners Group LLC and affiliates (MPG) have been providing standalone and master policy workers compensation solutions to agents and brokers nationwide for over 10 years.
 
MPG has statutory workers compensation insurance for Owner Operator Drivers and other distressed risks such as those in assigned risk pools, other unsuitable programs, and risks cancelled or non-renewed. This program is structured through a master PEO policy where the motor carrier or private carrier having Owner Operators must place 1 or more of its internal employees into our PEO program for the purpose of gaining access to coverage and allowing us to perform underwriting and enable us to economically cover and issue workers comp certificates of liability insurance to as many Owner Operators as the motor carrier or private carrier desires.  The Owner Operator does not sign a PEO agreement or become an employee of any entity and their contract with the motor carrier or private carrier is not disturbed.  Our carrier on this program is "A" rated and admitted in all 50 states and our program has been in existence for 6 years. This program provides the motor carrier or private carrier and the Owner Operator with much needed protections related to Owner Operator  occupational injuries, and may add to the Owner Operator 's appearance of independence in the eyes of the IRS as it relates to employee vs contractor issues, as the Owner Operator is directly paying a 3rd party source for workers' comp. coverage.  Our target is the independent Owner Operator  fleet of 20 or more contracted by one motor carrier or private carrier, and not the individual Owner Operator taking loads from several sources.
